Welcome to America Friends of Searchlight Mamfe AFOSMA

The American Friends of Searchlight Inc. (AFOSMA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in April 2017 to support orphans and vulnerable children.
The organization provides scholarships to orphans, IDPs and refugees in schools in Cameroon through the Searchlight Project. It also offers mentorship, and educational resources to promote academic and personal growth to minority immigrants in New England. It also volunteers at local food banks, organizes health fairs and career workshops, organizes cultural festival for social cohesion. supports the building of schools in Africa for displaced persons and refugees, offers guidance on immigration, and equips small business owners with educational resources.

Our Commitment Mission Statement

AFOSMA is a community-based non-profit organization that has been operating in Massachusetts, USA, since April 21st, 2017, with registration no. 001270096 from The Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It holds tax-exempt status DLN: 26053763003222. AFOSMA was founded by a group of friends focused on supporting orphans and refugees, as well as students experiencing homelessness and poverty. The organization offers tutoring, mentoring, and educational resources, aiming to improve their academic, social, and emotional well-being. Additionally, AFOSMA provides volunteer services to local food banks, conducts career orientation workshops for beginners, co-hosts community health and wellness fairs, and offers guidance on immigration processes and business resources.
